I have been using one for many years. Like Eddie said, I vacuum seal anything I freeze.  Even though the rolls are cheaper, I prefer the bags that have one side sealed already.  Less work when you are sealing and less of a chance of a bad seal. I also put half a paper towel on top of what I am freezing. It will catch any liquids that might be pulled up by the vacuum, and also traps some of the liquids when you defrost it.  You will be amazed how fresh things taste that have been in the freezer for a while.

Don't forget to write the date, what it is and also the count on the outside of the bag with a magic marker.  TT^

I start the freeze process in a ziplock bag before the vaccuum seal. This freezes the liquid in the fish and it wont be sucked out in the process. It also allows for a good seal without any liquid in the seal.

I too seal everything that goes in the freezer...

Make sure its at least tapped dry with a paper towel before sealing...juice in the seal doesn't melt the plastic too good and the seal will not hold !!

I even freeze tomato sauce with it...Freeze in tuperware first...take it out then into a bag ! works like a champ !!

And like NJ Bob said ...mark everything...I hate mystery meat in the freezer !!!

Just wish the bags were a little cheaper ...can buy online to save a couple of bucks...

Take your fillets, lay on cookie sheet and pop them in your freezer for 10 min or so. Take the out and quickly seal them. You won't have to worry of juices following under your seal.

wts  Just make sure that you clean out the drip tray after sealing or you will notice a very unpleasant odor after a few days  TT^
