Outboard flushing

Need a little advice from those more knowledgeable and experienced. 
My outboard is a 28hp Evinrude.  It does not accept flushing muffs.  I religiously flush the motor after every trip with a garbage can full of fresh water / Simple Green.
I'm planning on taking the boat down to Wildwood with us next month and run it around the back bays Thurs/Fri/Sat. 
I'll have access to a hose at the condo, but taking the garbage can, etc is gonna be a bit much. 
How much of a big deal would it be if the motor isn't flushed till we get home Sunday?

No big deal at all, some small outboard owners never flush their motors. Get it when you get home....enjoy the trip......

running a couple days in saltwater won't do much as long as you flush it when you get back. Or go freshwater fishing for a day. lol

 There are some at the marina who do not flush their motors for days and weeks at a time.

 I have gone a couple days here and there when going back out the next day or so.


 If anything, in a trash can isn't all that great for it anyways. its circulating dirty water, and if left to long can help over heat motor, although I would assume a plastic can would melt first.

The trash can is the only option.  It's 35 gallons, so I figure the ratio of contamination that circulates isnt too bad.  The discharge from the motor is only luke warm.

I would just leave the water running in the trash can.. and let it over flow..

Then you can taste it.. if it's not salty your good

A few days without a flush will be fine. If you do want to flush it, Google outboard flushing bags, they are portable and take up way less space than a garbage can.
