Manasquan River 8/17/15
« on: August 18, 2015, 03:40:38 PM »
A buddy was supposed to join me yesterday but ended up with childcare issues.  So I headed out solo, which isn't a bad thing.
Launched out of MRC a little before high.  Tried a different spot that usual and had a couple shorts till I lost the current.  Bounced around for probably 2 hours trying to get a drift going.  Tide didnt want to switch and the wind wasn't cooperating.
I was headed back in to call it a day and decided to try another different spot.  Wasn't expecting much from this spot.  Boy was I wrong.  For the next hour n half it was nonstop fish.  They were all small, but it was steady action and they were aggressive as hell.  Left them biting to get home for another commitment.

Some times you have to power drift .Nothing to it ,leave the motor run at a low idle and put it in gear periodically .Thanks for the report .

a trolling motor would be great for that boat.  t^ thanks for the report
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.
