When did you take that picture Eddie? Besides updating your GPS maps some common sense, slower speeds and a knowledge of where you are fishing also helps tremendously. Columbus found America without a GPS or motor and did not run aground on the Hook.   hhppy TT^

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

It's very easy to be disoriented at night and not trust your instruments.

Walked to the tip a few years back ,watched a twin engine boat coming full bore towards the beach .Thought he was taking on water .Guy sitting bow was almost launched when he hit the shore .Ran over to see what was going on .Captain said he was blinded by the sun and thought he was on the outside ? Took Boat US over an hour to pull him off ,with an out going tide .  5hrug

at the high tide yesterday morning that thing was getting beaten badly by the swells pounding into the hook from the SE. It was slowly rocking its way northward up the beach. A few more beatdowns like that and it will drop right off the ledge at the tip into 60' or more. He thought he had problems on the beach, just wait til it sinks.

It was so sad to see that thing getting beat. I couldn't look.
