(VAS) Volunteer Recreational Angler Survey

Last week I received a e-mail from bureauofmarinefisheries@dep.nj.gov with a link to fill out a (VAS). I did it and the questions seemed pretty vague.


Did anyone else receive this e-mail?
Did you fill it out?
What are your thoughts on the questions if you did?

The email said that they were limited to 10,000 questionnaires, Ive read that there are an estimate 340,000 recreational fisherman in the state. Its seems to me the the rather small percentage of polls taken cannot accurately measure the entire community.

maybe you should fill it out. If they received more "real" data, they would not assume everyone limits out every trip and keep slashing the quotas.

I got one to Al.On my to-do list to fill out.

I received mine Al and yes I filled it out. I t goes through the University of Florida, which is where my son is a Marine Biologist and working on his masters. I asked him about it, He use the progam in one of his glasses but was not sure on the survey part of it or where that info from surveys went.

That's what my 2nd email said..........and then a 3rd arrived making it a bit suspicious

They opened it back up. Go back and fill it in, multiple times if need be.
