8/28 Long Island
« on: August 29, 2015, 07:55:59 PM »
With the way the bite has been in I went out to the Hampton Bays again on Friday. Made the trip by myself which was tough on 2 hours sleep after work but when you want to fish you want to fish. Got there early and got the middle spot in the stern. Things started off slow with a hard NW wind but that wind died off and once it did it was game on. I've had better days personally but I've never seen an entire boat do so well(boat was packed with 50, everybody had fish.) I landed 8 keepers and lost a 9th at the net, 6 of them were 23-24.5 inches very high quality. Boat finished with 134 keepers on the day most of which were no doubters. Pool went 9.5 in fact that guy caught 2 8s aswell.... (They reported he caught 3 10s, not the truth.... I'm not a fan of exaggerations.) It was an absolute great day on the water and with the way the bite is out here I have to go again soon.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Thanks for the report Christian.  t^ You are definitely on a roll with the nice size Fluke.  How come your father did not go with you this time? Were you afraid he would win the pool again and you would have to listen to him all the way home?  hhppy
