Stripers. 10-25-15 Raritan Bay
« on: October 26, 2015, 05:44:09 AM »
We took Bobs boat out today "25' seafox walk around" and his son Chris came home from college for the weekend. Late start around 10am trolling the bottom half of the outgoing with tandem parachutes and umbrella shad with a stretch 25 down the middle. Covered most of the mid to outer triangle and took a ride to the single stick at slack tide where we landed a 25" Striper that we released. Made our way back off Keansberg trolling with the incoming and got a 31", next pass a 38" final pass was a 41".. All caught on white and trolling with the tide. Rock Candy Tandem parachutes with Shad have been working well.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

nice buddy, we had 7 yesterday morning between OOS and Flynn's. Lots of slots, but some nice ones too. Those trollers you txt'd me about were insane. What a mess that was. We stayed away from them and watched them from afar, all catching nothing, while we boxed up.

Yellow and yellow/blue stretchs outperformed spoons, and tube and shad dredges, by a large margin. We caught with the tide, against the tide, and across the tide, didn't matter.
