The week will be mostly settled with good weather and water conditions. The majority of the week will be dry with some rain chances on Monday and Friday. These chances will be isolated to scattered with greater chances of rain on Monday across southern areas and on Friday across northern areas. The rest of the week will be a mix of sun and clouds. Slightly above average temperatures with moderate humidity will be in place this week. Highs mainly in the 60’s and 70’s with overnight lows in the 40’s to 50’s. Patchy areas of fog are likely at night and in the morning hours. Water conditions will be good all week inshore except for Friday, which will have borderline to cautious conditions for seas at 2-4 feet. Midshore to offshore waters will be borderline on Monday, borderline to cautious on Thursday, and cautious on Friday. Surf conditions will be good all week and then ok on Friday with surf heights increasing to 3-5 feet. Water temperatures are steady or slightly cooler at mid 50’s to low 60’s. UV Index will be Low to Moderate at 1-4/15.

High pressure that was located over Kentucky and West Virginia on Sunday will build northeastward and over the region for Monday and Tuesday. Weakening low pressure is forecast to pass across the Southeastern States, then off the North Carolina Coast on Monday Night. Another reinforcing area of high pressure is expected to build into our region from the northwest and north on Wednesday. Weak low pressure from the South, may influence the weather on Thursday. A cold front should approach from the northwest on Friday and it is forecast to pass through the region on early Saturday.

The weekend will have rain chances, greatest on Saturday. Highs will be in the 50’s and 60’s with Sunday cooler than Saturday. Overnight lows will be in the 30’s to 50’s, but temperatures will drop from the mild temperatures we had during the week by Saturday Night as cooler and drier air moves in behind the front. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious to hazardous with winds to 30 knots and seas to 10 feet right now.

The Atlantic Tropics are quiet.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
