A new category of fishing license will be available when 2016 fishing and hunting licenses go on sale Thursday, December 17. The reduced price "Fishing Buddy" license is ideal for anglers introducing someone to freshwater fishing. Eligibility requires at least one new angler (one who has never purchased a license or has not purchased one since 2010).
