Was out on Monday by 500AM and went to the rips to drift eels. Hits a 32" bass on first drift and then just did nothing for 3 hours.....moved to the 12 bouy for an hour or 2 and still nothing,LOTS OF BOATS THOUGH...went to romars to clam and still nothing.  tried flynns and nada..went back to the rips and still nothing,,,still lots of boats though..   tried to troll some mannn25s for a bit in between all this and nothing.


On wed. I ran out for a few hours solo and managed to boat a cocktail.  I did have what was the biggest fish ever but i lost it after 10 minutes.  I was so pissed.  I have to guess it was 25-30 lbs...darn was I pissed.   O-well,,willl try again sat. nite.

I would take 1 keeper striper any day off the beach.

Trolling around the Shrewsberry rocks with shads has been pretty good. !/2 striper's and 1/2 blues..    Also used Mann's stretch 25+ Green/yellow belly.

thanks guys.  did another trip on sat. night and only got 1 30" with 3 guys. there were no currents at all but no boats either which was nice ...  I cant troll with anything but the manns untill I get some wire line set ups. The last couple of trips i have thrown out a couple of manns as i go around the hook to get to the rips with no results but i will definitly keep trying them...  going out tommorrow and friday or sat. if the weather allows.

 why,, hook up some spoons with drail wieghts. works great for me
