Summer Flounder/Black Sea Bass Public Hearing Jan. 7

There will be a public hearing in Manahawkin on Thursday, January 7, regarding proposed recreational management measures for summer flounder and black sea bass. The hearing is scheduled immediately after the regular Marine Fisheries Council meeting in Stafford Twp.

they are mulling a 30% reduction in the fluke quota next year. we apparently overfished again this year, altho I know of nobody personally who overcaught, so how can that be? WTF? even TBO dialed it back somewhat (based on his posts...)  

all other things being equal, this would be something like 3 fish at 18".

so BOHICA buoys and gulls, get your comments in and make your voice heard. not that it will do any good
