A more settled weekend for weather, but still unsettled and cautious water conditions. The rain chances that were forecast last weekend for this weekend have just about disappeared. It looks to be dry and settled with high pressure stretching over the region. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will have sunny skies with highs in the 50’s to 60’s on Saturday and 50’s to 70’s on Sunday. Shore areas will have the coolest highs with still cooler ocean waters influencing daytime heating. Overnight lows will still be chilly in the upper 30’s to 40’s, with those coldest lows across northern areas. As the high moves through the area, gusty winds are possible and much greater at the shore. Water conditions will be mainly cautious with winds gusting to 30 knots and seas to 10 feet. Small Craft Advisories are likely. Rivers and bays could be ok to even good at points, but ocean waters will be at least 4-5 feet at best. Winds will subside for Sunday Night and seas will begin to improve for the week. Surf and beach conditions will be ok to cautious with gusty winds to 30 knots and surf heights to 10 feet by Sunday. Temperatures will be cooler at the shore and even cooler on the water in the 50’s. Winds will make it feel even colder. Water temperatures are steady in the upper 40’s and 50’s. UV Index will be High to Very High at 6-8/15.

High pressure will remain across the northeast and Mid Atlantic Region Thursday Night through the weekend. The high will weaken on Monday and a cold front will follow for Monday Night and Tuesday, followed by more high pressure for the middle of the week.

Next week looks mostly settled right now after a cold front moves through on Monday. More sun than clouds and Spring weather will finally be appearing, with low chances right now of some precipitation with the cold front. High temperatures will be in the upper 50’s to low 70’s. The coolest temperatures will be at the shore, as cooler ocean temperatures influence daytime heating. Overnight lows will range from the 30’s to 50’s. Water surf and beach conditions look mostly good as well. Seas may start off slightly elevated from the weekend and the passing front, mainly on the ocean. Wednesday could see some gusting winds over 20 knots, but seas will subside and improve throughout the week back into the 1-3 foot range, hopefully by mid to late week.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
