A mostly unsettled weekend with mostly borderline to cautious water conditions. Saturday during the day will be the only dry time this weekend, with a mix of sun and clouds. Showers will move in for the overnight and more widespread rain will come for Sunday and remain for Monday. High temperatures will be in the 50’s to low 60’s with overnight lows in the 40’s. Water conditions will be borderline to cautious with higher seas to 5 feet on Saturday and then gusty winds to 20 knots on Sunday. Rivers and bays will have mostly good conditions. Surf and beach conditions will be ok to good with surf heights 2-5 feet and some gustier winds on Sunday to 20 knots. Water temperatures have dropped by a degree or so. UV Index will be Low to High at 2-7/15.
A low pressure system will track off the Carolina Coast on Friday, remaining to the south and east of the area. Weak high pressure will briefly build down from the north on Saturday. Another area of low pressure will move towards the region from the Midwestern States, bringing unsettled weather to the area late Saturday through Monday. High pressure will move into the region for Tuesday and Wednesday. Meanwhile, another low pressure system develops off of the Southeastern US Coast and moves to the Northeast, possibly bringing unsettled weather to the region through midweek.
Next week is more settled than last week. Monday will have rain chances, and then possibly rain chances through Wednesday, clearing out for Thursday and Friday. Highs will be in the 60’s and 70’s with lows in the 40’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be borderline to cautious on Monday, but then good, so far, for the rest of the week.
Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
