12/05 Striper Fishing
« on: December 05, 2007, 08:48:07 PM »
Read reports from 2 party boats. One out of Atlantic Highlands and the other out of Pt. Pleasant. Both said today was very possibly the best day of striper jigging yet. Guys  catching upward to 35 bass each. Most in the 23-27" class but with enough keepers (up to #15) that most had some fillets to take home. Amazingly there are still some bluefish in the mix. AVA047s and Crocs in the 3.5 and 6 ounce version were the ticket.

Conditions look good through Saturday. Unfortunately with my daughter's birthday on Saturday and the weather iffy for Sunday it appears I wont be able to wet a line this weekend.

Skolman,

What boats went out today?  I am off tomorrow, but I gotta see the dentist! :-\

I'm going to try to get out next Monday or Tuesday if I can.

Rariton bay and deleware were on fire today. One guy claimed over 100 fish on a half day solo in rb.  I'm going to try sat. and put the boat back on the trailer.. It may be my last trip.

I hope somebody from here can cash in on the good fishing.  Good luck to anyone who can make it out.   t^

I will be trying the beach tomorrow and see what happens.  Anyone else hitting the suds?  I know its cold but hey this only happens only a few times a year.  Lets hope the blitz is on for a while, at least till Sunday would be nice.

Thanks for the info. TT^

Happy Catching

Skolman,

What boats went out today?

Reports were from The Fisherman out of Atlantic Highlands and the The Gambler out of Pt. Pleasant.

If those 2 boats got out then it's possible that other striper boats (Sea Hunter, C*ck Robin, Queen Mary, Golden Eagle) got out if they had a few fares. show up.

If you go out of Atl Highlands The Fisherman (Capt Ron) the Sea Hunter (Capt Bob) or The Sea Horse (Capt Ed) will put you on the stripers....all good Capt's and run good boats
