Overall, a nice weekend on hand, however windy conditions will make for cautious water conditions. Friday Night may bring some rain/shower chances, clearing out for Saturday Day. The bulk of Saturday and Sunday will be dry. Highs will be in the 50’s with overnight lows in the 30’s and 40’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be borderline to cautious with winds 15-20 knots and gusts 20-25 knots with seas 2-5 feet inshore and 4-8 feet offshore. Rivers and bays will have lowers seas, but the winds will still be there to at least 20 knots.  Surf and beach conditions will not be horrible, if you can stand the NW winds to 25 knots, as surf heights will only push 3-4 feet tops, averaging 1-3 feet. Water temperatures are upper 40’s to mid 50’s with offshore waters in the mid to upper 50’s. UV Index will be Low to Moderate at 1-3/15.

An area of low pressure will develop over North Carolina through this evening and then move off the Mid-Atlantic coast later in the night into Saturday. High pressure will build in from the south and west this weekend. The high will begin to shift offshore on Monday. A storm system is forecast to move through the northern Plains and upper Midwest early next week. A cold front with this system will progress toward the forecast area by midweek. Meanwhile, a wave of low pressure may develop over the Gulf Coast states Tuesday and then track northward along the front through the eastern U.S. on Wednesday. High pressure builds in from the Mid South late in the week.

The Tropics are quiet.

The week will start off dry, then rain and showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, with dry conditions returning for Thursday and Friday. Highs will be in the 50’s with overnight lows in the 30’s and 40’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be good on Monday, cautious to hazardous on Tuesday and Wednesday, borderline on Thursday, and good on Friday.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
