Mostly settled weekend with windy conditions on the water. Saturday will be dry and sunny and Sunday will be mostly dry with the chance of snow showers, mainly for northern areas. Highs will only be in the 30’s and 40’s with lows in the teens to 30’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious with Small Craft Advisories due to winds to 30 knots and seas to 5 feet. Water temperatures are steady and UV Index will be Low to Moderate at 1-3/15.
The center of high pressure will move from the mid Mississippi Valley overnight to the Mid Atlantic region late Saturday, then shift offshore. A weak cold front will move through Sunday evening, with weak high pressure briefly building in Monday. Strengthening low pressure is forecast to develop in the Central Plains Monday, then track into the Great Lakes later Tuesday into Wednesday. Its strong cold front will sweep across our area during Wednesday, then high pressure gradually arrives from the
west Thursday night and Friday.
