PB tuna does pretty much suck btw.

I never did it.  What makes it so bad on a party boat?  Too many people?

Canyon Runner will cost you easily 750 per including tip.
MOst expensive there is by far.

If I do decide on the Canyon Runner as a Bar-Mitzvah gift to my son I would pay the entire cost of the charter (about 4K) and we'll invite 4 guests to join us who I'd just ask to help with the tip (which if you figure a tip of 20% on 4K works out to $134/a man).

But I always talking more about seeing if there were 4 other people who were interested in doing a 6- man charter tuna trip (not necessarily on the Canyon Runner). I say 4 other people because I'd take (& pay) for 2 spots.

Thats why I like making a posting about it now. Gives you alot of time to put away $50 here and $75 there. Before you know it you have your share paid for without throwing the household budget into a frenzy.

Been there done that.

Had a boat for many years and was always able to squirrel away at least $50-$100/month for charters or out of state trips.

Estimated date of the So-Kool III is 2009.

My pops was supposed to take me to Baja to do some fishing for my Bar Mitzvah (instead of a BIG party that I didn't want).

My mother won that one tho (which is a shame since neither one of us even talk to her anymore).

Much rather have gone fishing :)

No it wasn't.

But I was also making less than I am now so in a way it balances out.

You aren't making 600% more now then when gas was .80 a gallon.
That doesn't balance out.
