Welcome to the site Modo.  Guys here like to share information and such.  Any questions just ask.  Anything you can chime in on, do so.

It'll be tuff getting an open boat now a days.  Most have them out of the water by now and do the party boat scene.

Also depends on how far you are willing to travel to jump on a boat.  I know in the summer you will have no problem kinding an open boat.

Welcome Aboard Modo,

I am sure some of the guys will take you up on your offer, but right now a lot of them have pulled their boats and I myself love to hit the suds.  I usually fish anywhere from Brick to IBSP's north jetty.

I am looking forward to your posts and input plus don't forget the guys love to share information freely.  Once you have posted a few more times another section of the board will open up for you and that is where the good info is hiding.

Again Welcome Aboard.

Happy Catching

Paul

Thats why I like the surf.  I can come and go when I like just drag the fish onto the beach, the only problem is the amount of down time on active fishing.  Thats OK because I know I will catch fish just about all year round and not have to worry about a boat in the winter freezing in the ice.

What's up Modoman,

My name is Capt Craig Peters. I own and operate the charter boat FISH TALE. In the Spring and Fall I fish out of Cape May but June thru Mid October I am fishing out of Harbour Cove Marina in Somers Point NJ, not far from you. I am having a new boat built in Maine for the 2008 season. She was started October 26 2007. It is to be ready by the end of April or early May. I am going up to check her out and do some work with the builder over Christmas week. When I come back I'll be posting pics of the progress.

Anyway, If some time next year you would like to put a trip together give me a call. You can check out my website for info. The fees and other info will be all updated for the new boat by the first of the year. My fees will go up slightly but you will see that they are  much less expensive than a lot of others you will look at in our area.

My current boat is out of the water for the winter but if you are interested in doing some fishing next year on the NEW FISH TALE. Please Contact me. THANKS
