Overall a wet weekend with hazardous water conditions. Saturday will have rain and thunderstorms becoming showers and thunderstorms later in the day. Rain could be heavy at times and thunderstorms could be strong. Sunday will have scattered showers with chances decreasing into the overnight. Highs will be in the 60’s and 70’s with lows in the 50’s to 60’s. Humidity will be moderate to high. Water conditions will be Hazardous with Gale Watches and Warnings posted for ocean waters. Winds will gust to 40 knots and inshore seas will be 11 feet with midshore to offshore waters to 16 feet. Surf and beach conditions will be cautious to hazardous with surf to 8+ feet and a Moderate to High Rip Current Risk. Water temperatures are steady. UV Index will be Low to Very High at 0-8/15. All of this should clear out for the start of next week.
A warm front will move through our area later tonight. Low pressure will develop along the frontal boundary across the Ohio Valley, and it will move towards the area early Friday through Saturday. High pressure will return over our area for the late weekend and will persist into the week.
There is an area of invest off of Africa that will need to be watched for development.
