NJ Fishing & Boating Weather Outlook Weekly Edition: Dec 27-29, 2017

A mostly settled week with mostly cautious water conditions. Wednesday and Thursday will be dry, while Friday will have chances of snow. I am also watching possible Winter Storm development for Saturday. Extremely cold Arctic Air will settle into the region with temperatures overnight in the single digits with negative wind chills. Highs will only be in the teens to 20’s with some possible 30’s on Friday. Overnight lows will range from low single digits to 20’s. Water conditions will be cautious on Wednesday and Thursday, with borderline conditions on Friday. Saturday could see more Gale Force Winds.
 
Arctic high pressure builds into the region this week, resulting in a prolonged period of very cold weather. A trough is expected to sweep over the region at the end of the week. At the same time, low pressure may develop off the Southeast coast and lift northeast. High pressure should build back over the region Sunday.
