Another coastal storm forecast for Monday Night through Wednesday Morning with cautious and hazardous water conditions. Monday will be dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Monday Night through Wednesday Morning will have chances of rain and snow. The bulk of the Nor’Easter will come on Tuesday, again. Right now snow accumulations will be 0-3 inches for NJ, however it is still early to call this and track and intensity are not 100% accounted for yet. Wednesday Night, Thursday and Friday will be dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will be in the 30’s and 40’s with lows in the teens to 30’s. Water conditions will be cautious to hazardous with Gale and Storm Warnings.
High pressure over the Midwest will gradually track to the south and east tonight and then will move off the Mid-Atlantic coast by Monday evening. Canadian high pressure then re-establishes itself north of the Great Lakes. Meanwhile, a complex area of low pressure will move east emerging over the Mid-Atlantic Monday night into Tuesday. This system may linger off the coast through Wednesday before moving off to the north and east by Thursday. High pressure returns from the north to close out the work week. Low pressure then approaches next weekend.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!

I am definitely looking forward to some green blocks too...this snow stuff is for the rgmn!

Two low pressure systems will merge and create a powerful coastal storm. Low pressure coming out of the Midwest will transfer energy to a low pressure system in the Southeast. This system will get out over the ocean and move north-northeast bringing a mess to the Mid Atlantic and Northeast.

Conditions will deteriorate on Tuesday, with rain/snow/wintry mix possible as early as Tuesday Morning. NJ will see possible icing as well on Tuesday. By Wednesday, the mix mess will start changing over to snow and will accumulate quickly. 4-12+ inches of snow are possible with a bulk of NJ in the 6-12 range. In addition to wet, heavy snow, winds will gust to 50+ mph, causing downed trees and power lines leading to power outages. Minor to moderate coastal flooding is possible, too, with 1-3 feet of water above High Astronomical Tides. High seas and surf will cause beach erosion, again.
