Weather Outlook Monday, February 18, 2019
« on: February 17, 2019, 09:41:42 PM »
This coming week has some very unsettled weather.

For Monday: Snow/Wintry Mix/Rain develops Sunday Night into Monday before clearing for Monday Night. Accumulations will be nothing-2 inches or so for northern areas. Most areas change over to all rain tomorrow, except for Northern NJ. Highs in the upper 30's to mid 40's with lows in the mid teens to upper 20's. Water conditions will be Hazardous, Small Craft Advisories are in effect, as well as Coastal Flood Advisories. Winds will be 15-25 knots with gusts over 30 knots, seas 3-6 feet.

Tuesday looks to be dry with Wintry Precip and Rain on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Water conditions don't look to improve much this week, however there may be pockets of good conditions Tuesday and Friday.

I hope to have a complete Outlook by tomorrow.

Thanks!

Re: Wednesday & Thursday Winter Storm
« Reply #2 on: February 19, 2019, 10:11:35 PM »
Yet again, another moderate Winter Storm will affect the state. Low pressure from the Mississippi Valley will move into the Great Lakes. Another Low Pressure system will track from the Carolinas northeast into New England. This storm will start off as snow, then a wintry mix and ice. No accumulation up to 10 inches are possible. By Thursday, the storm will change over to rain and freezing rain. This freezing rain/ice could be the worst of the storm, however temperatures will rise on Thursday.
