NJ Fishing & Boating Weather Outlook Weekly Feb 25-Mar 3, 2019
« on: February 24, 2019, 09:34:33 PM »

Another unsettled week with a mix of rain and snow showers and mostly cautious water conditions. Showers will be possible all week, except Tuesday. Showers should be mainly rain, but a mix or snow is possible, especially across northern areas. Accumulations should be minimal, if anything. Highs will range from the 30’s to 40’s with lows in the teens to 30’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious to hazardous with some pockets of good conditions. The cautious to hazardous conditions will be poor with winds to 50+ knots and seas to 20 feet. Water temperatures are in the upper 30’s to low 40’s.

A cold frontal passage this evening associated with a powerful low pressure center over Ontario will bring very strong winds to the area tonight and tomorrow. Building high pressure will bring cool and dry weather with diminishing winds Tuesday. A clipper low may bring some light rain or snow to the region late Wednesday into Thursday. Additional unsettled weather is likely for the end of the week and into the weekend as a wave of low pressure passes to our south and another storm system potentially develops to our west.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
