Welcome Jay,

This is a no nonsense site although we do get some drama now and them but we share freely and enjoy the feedback.  We are not what you would call experts and don't pretend to be.  All our insight comes from years of trial and error plus listening to bits and pieces the old timers of our youth divulged in tiny tidbits.  Those tidbits turned out to be golden nuggets that we are passing along to others.

With the new technology that has run rampent in our sport many of the old ways still hold water.  The board is loaded with tried and true practitioners, listen, learn and jump in and enlighten when you get a chance.

Again Welcome Aboard...

Happy Catching

Paul

A good day of fishing is better than a bad day of fishing. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. That means work sucks!

Welcome aboard, Jay.  Anything that you can add, please do so.  We all have things to learn no matter how experienced.  Any questions, just ask away.

Looking forward to your posts/reports.   t^

Wow,thanks for all the replies.
I live in CT,but fish in NJ alot ,because as you people know it's closer to the canyons.
I use to post on other boards, but got tired of the drama.
I also build my own Rods and have developed a 5'
series of standup tuna rods using calstar's boomer blanks.I spent a lot of time and money lol and ruined alot of blanks before coming up with the final product, although I don't build for anyone but myself,I will give spec's if people are interested,as I said I'm more than happy to share what I have learned over the last 40yrs of fishing.
Tight Lines ,Jay ;) grtn
