stripped bass question
« on: January 31, 2008, 12:45:00 PM »
I live near point pleasant and I surf fish for stripers. Is there a specific place off the surf that is better than others such as near the jetty or should I look for something out in the water?

Phil,

If yu are not fihing near a jetty go to the beach at low tide......this way yu can pin point the sand bars and the breaks in them where the preditors (sstripers, etc) lurk for bait,,,,,,,

Hi PHIL,

Here is an article I put together:

http://njsaltwaterfisherman.com/forums/index.php?topic=3964.0

If you have any free time and would like to meet me at Ortley Beach one day I will be happy to show you some of the ins and outs of reading the beach.  It is not hard and you will have a better percentage rate at catching something.

Happy Catching
