  Which company do you deal with for boat insurance? Do yous have a preferance or doesnt it matter? Anyone look into discounts for members?

Be careful of allstate. They DO NOT cover overheating (say if you get a bag wrapped around your prop).  They have a decent list of inclusions as well.

My pops had them for YEARS, then switched when they did not cover him.

I have Inamar via Charter Lakes. Almost no exclusions on the list, higher coverage and was a good deal cheaper then Allstate quoted me.

Go with a dedicated marine insurance company.

I believe Inamar was the 1st and oldest marine only insurance company.

Frank Bradford... BRADFORD INSURANCE CO....
advertised in the fisherman mag and others been around for many years and covers a lot of charter guys as well.....

AGREED AMOUNTS on the boat and trailer.... Low Low deductibles.....

$500,000 Boating Liability
$500,000 Uninsured Boaters Liability
$800,000 Pollution Liability
Plus much more....$388.00

State Farm.  Just about $200 for the whole year, not bad.
