Almost. I have a little over 30 now.

I am going to get rid of 2-3 of them soon.

The next (and last) will be a Calstar 700L based rod.

That should be it.

When you have a boat and bring people fishing who do not have their own gear, you do need some extra (yea, that's it) :)

Remember part of my 30+ are ones Fishinfool uses and my son the rare times he comes :)

your son doesn't get out fishing much?  I am surprised.  He looks the age that would love to go.

I've been workin on him. He would rather play his gameboy :(

I REALLY want to get him into a bluefish surface blitz to get him excited, but haven't had 1 yet while he was on board.

I am sure 1 good bluefish run will get him addicted. He is at the age that if you don't get him now, you may never get him at all.

How old is he? When we get together for an outing (not a canyon run) perhaps you can bring him and I'll bring my son. He doesn't miss a trip, he turned 13 in November and actually goes to the canyons with me. Sometimes all you need is another boy in the same age range that loves the excitement...

He just turned 11 and that sounds like a GREAT idea.

You are more then welcome to bring your son up when we go striper fishing in a month or so.

My son will be thrilled to have someone around his age to hang with when the action is a bit slow. Be nice if your sons enjoyment of fishing rubs off on mine :)

My dad got me into it when I was 5 and that is what we did growing up every weekend, so I REALLY am hoping to get my son into it as something we can alawys do together.

I agree, just don't waist any more valuable years.  I see a difference with me and my brother.  We are almost 6 years apart so by the time my father sold the shore house, I was already addicted, and my brother never got a true love for it.

6 years? I ahve a sister who will be 18 this week and another who will be 8 :)

The 18 year old loves to fish and can now throw a 10' cast net.

The little likes to go fast in daddy's boat, but not fish so much (gets bored easy).
