4-30
« on: May 01, 2008, 05:37:30 PM »
Fished from 4:30p to 10p yesterday. Started at the highlands bridge and went in the navisink and back out and down the shrewsbury rivers and back to the bridge. I jigged with shads and avas and trolled manns with only 1 short.
On the way in I headed up the sandy hook side of the bay trolling. I saw i guy on the beach catch a nice keeper and then saw a ton of cops and such on the beach. It looked like they had a crime scene or dead body. They carried something off the beach in a white bag. Did not go to close so who knows.
Over by the 1 can I caught the tail end of something. Birds all over and big marks but by the time I rerigged everything kinda left. I was solo and it was starting to get rough so I headed in remembering the schooly that I will recatch in a bunch of years.
