netting bait

I'd like to learn this year how to net bait...I have read the posts on which net to buy and the sites that (try) to teach you how to throw the net; thanks for that info....

The question I have is where?

I keep my boat in the Metedeconk and usually fish out of the Manasquan inlet. Are there better spots than others to net bait?

you should get bait at about any marina.. If your in the AH area I can show you how to throw a net and get all the bait you want.  The AH marina had more peanut bunker in it then I ever seen. Key is, be there right at dawn. I showed BriJones how to throw after a fishing trip, before you know it.. he scored..

I too am out of squan.  If you are useing a cast net, you can find spearing around most any marina.  Also, you will find literally millions of them within 10 yards of the beach around Treasure (osborn) Island.  With a sein net, you can fill up a bucket in afew pulls around there in july through september.  The island is also a classic spot for peanut bunker in the staging ...eh... stage of the fall run.
