Hey guys, finally in the water. Got her in yesterday morning, took a run down the Metedeconk, up the canal, back into the river. Did some anchoring drills and checked a few spots, water on the top of the tide was COLD but very clear, decent amount of shmegma in the water. With the new moon tide, the current was ripping just about everywhere. Got her settled in the new slip around noon time. Not for nothing, but those floating docks are simply fantastic compared to the stick docks I've been accustomed to!
First scheduled trip is for tomorrow, however weather now may be a factor as NOAA is calling for 20-25 NE winds, gusts past 35 and on and off rain due to the system roaring up the coast from the south. Forecast wise, they're screwing the pooch seemingly every time - wasn't it supposed to pour all day today and be flat-out nasty?? NWS/NOAA has to get their act together!
