I often get asked, "How long can I store monofilament line?" I took the time to ask many Reps of big name companies that produce quality monofilament fishing line for their opinions.
The answer in all cases is that monofilament can be stored indefinitely as long as it has not been subjected to the prolonged exposure ot the sun's UV rays and it has not been stored in a hot area.
If you have monofilamnet line that has been stored in a tackle box in a cool garage, it will last many years.
