4-25 report
« on: April 26, 2008, 01:06:41 PM »
Had to work a half a day friday then put out about 12pm. Headed over by keyport with some bunkers and found lots of blues. nice fighting racers 6-10 lbs, 1 short bass first of the year t^.   Ripped around the bay all day and only found blues. went up into the navisink around 6pm to the oceanic and didn't do much so headed back to where the 2 rivers split apart and hit a ton of racers. Last stop was by the first bridge where more racers were caught and a buch of runoffs. It was hard to fish here as the currents were fast but it was fun.  Did not see any bird action or any blitzes. I did hear of keeper bass in the am and there were carcasses at the marina.  Guess I need to get out earlier.
