« on: April 28, 2008, 11:04:23 AM »
Are there any places to rent skiffs in the manasquan area?

Want to try my luck fishing out there in the next couple of weeks.

thanks in advance.

Only place I know is the Fisherman's Den at Belmar basin.

Can only fish the river up to the bridge, but you can rent 1/2 day or full day.

Will be good fluke fishing beginning of season in the Shark River too.

Sorry I wasn't more explicit. Belmar Basin is in Shark River. The Fisherman's Den has boat rentals.

I am not familiar with the Manasquan area for rentals.

Even if there were  a couple of marinas that rent boats, I think it would be too early, as many that do, cater to the summer crowd.  There are a few places in Seaside Park that rent skiffs but their boats are still in dry dock and piled up on shore.
