Raritan Bay Weak Fish
« on: May 07, 2008, 09:07:13 PM »
Got a late start on Sunday (i got there late) but 10 minutes after arriving at Captain Jerry's (Precious Time) honey hole we had our first keeper.  9 year old Brendan Williams landed the first keeper striper of the season measuring 29".  I picked up the next rod and low and behold a 36" striper.  Then the blues arrived and after several hours we landed 23 of them including some huge 35"+ chompers.  In addition to the bass and the blitz of blues I managed to pull in a 34.5" tide runner.  This beautiful fish not only made my day but my month.  After a quick pic and measure we released her to continue her journey.  What a day had by all.  Special thanks to Captain Jerry for keeping our rods bent all day.
