Raritan Bay Evening trip 5/14
« on: May 14, 2008, 11:28:59 PM »
Caught the 5-10 PM trip out of Seawaren with 18 fares.

Not a good night.....caught the top of the tide and fished the outgoing with wind against tide. Three drops....east of the Romer light, 21A at the bend of the reach and off of Princess Bay.

Three bluefish was the total for the boat. I got one of them, but missed the pool by a few ounces.

Had a report coming in that one of the locals had three nice bass in the Arthur Kill near PA. Fish are around, but seemed to have lockjaw where we tried tonight. Giving it a go next week.....not the typical spring run yet...hope it turns on soon.

No bass from KB to Cliffwood last night for me either, but I did not venture far or long....

Bunker moving around though should be hot soon.
