Paul, Casting from a boat or at the marina dock.
When fishing the beach, I would snag what I could and then chunk.I was not able to throw the net from the beach,although I quess it could be done like they advertise.      AJ

If you can afford a boat, gas for the boat, ramp or slip fees, you can afford to buy a cast net and learn how to throw it.  There's a few different methods, some are easier than others.  Practice makes perfect!

You must have been on of the 30 guys I saw last week who couldn't net or snag a bunker, drove around for an hour with nothing to show while Bob and I dropped a few $$$, had 30+ bunker in 10mn and were off fishing.

Sometimes, they just ain't that easy to get.
