Pretyy much it is cast out and slowly reel in........the bulk heads in Highands produce some real god Fluke as the channel is right there.

Hoks with bucktails/ spinners/ squid strip are the best to get attention TT^

 whs

Can't emphasize enough reeling in slowly. The hit will feel almost as if you have some seaweed on your line. When you feel that sensation, pause your retrieve, lower your rod tip some, reel in the slack and give a firm flick of the wrist to set the hook.

Can use either bait (strip bait, spearing or killies) or small bucktails/jigs.

Thanks for the info. Will use the slow retrive, drop back and hookum method.I'll b using spro bucktail(pink)W/squid strip in the channel by robins reef only a 20 yard cast into 35+foot of water.

No sinker on this setup, just the weight of the bucktail, correct?

If you have a decent current going by, fish it just like you would fish a lure on a river. Cast about 45 deg upstream, bounce/jig/retrieve until about 45 deg downstream, and repeat.
