Roosters Flukin 5-24
« on: May 24, 2008, 07:39:17 PM »
Tom and I had the Roosters out to the Shrewsbury River for the start of the Fluke season. The area around buoy # 29a gave up my first keeper Fluke @ 19". There were a few more shorts caught and released, the shorts were last years keepers. Greg Vongas helped us out with a few new areas to try.
State police were out checking almost everyone in the area for short Fluke.
We entered the Sandy Hook Bay trying our favorite spot to no avail; I think the water is too cold for good fishing. Killies seem to be plentiful; I had no problem trapping them.   PETE

Thanks Pete, sounds like we have to wait a little for the temps to go up, hopefully we'll be on schedule for sharks.
