Where can i go???? 9.9hp

hey, i have a 16'5" smoker craft big fisherman with a 9.9hp motor.  i got if for freshwater lakes, but taht is so boring.  i stareted getting into salt fishing and i love it!!!  i dont want to sell my boat, but where can i go saltwater fishing with a 9.9hp motor and not have any problems.

i took this boat one time out of leonardo and i would not get out of the ramp area because the tide was pusing me back.

is ther anywehre i can salt fish with the boat i have?

please let me know of any areas in NJ

first, welcome to the site.. next.. you can go anywhere.. rivers, bay, even adventure towards the tip of the hook on a nice day.  Most of the rentals from the marinas are about 16 foot, with either a 9.9 or 15hp on them.  Bay and River anytime, Ocean depending on the weather.  Go to anyshore point and find a boat ramp.  AH is where I would suggest because its a very short distance to the tip of the hook and to up the river.

Stick to the bays and rivers..  The Tuckerton area hss a lot of open water Great Bay Fishing

Shark River should be perfect for that setup. Public ramp access.

you can go anywhere in the bay on a nice day,fished Raritan Bay with different friends who had 9.9's.once years ago,rented a boat at Frank's and put my 3 1/2hp on it on a nice day.took it to out in front of the ammo pier,slow going but we had a great day fishing.just don't go to far and keep an eye on the weather.
