Got a late start Sunday Am. as my Bro and our friend the Gnome had a bit of trouble getting up.. Left the dock at about 8:30 with the 2 well rested ones and my pal Dave, and headed W from Keansburg, setting up to drift the channels W of Keyport.. Slow pick most of the day with me getting the only keeper at about 20" out of about a dozen fish. After about noon the wind picked up making the drift a bit fast.. Had to get Rob in early to make a meeting (Sunday meetings..ugh he's nuts), so was back at the dock by 2:30. As the wind seemed determined to continue to blow, Dave and I decided to forego the rest of the afternoon. Took off Monday, and Dave and I left K-Burg just before 7am. Drift conditions and the weather in general was spectacular.. Stayed close to Keansburg most of the day, and had a better pick of fish boating about 30 with 8 keepers between us. Had them going pretty good near the end of the outgoing..At one point Dave and I had a double header that both made it to the box..Hopefully yesterday was sign that the Flukin is starting to look up on the Fluka Brasi.
