Reel Fantasea Charters fishing report-6/14/08
« on: June 14, 2008, 07:21:49 PM »
Regulars Joe Franke and Wayne Salvi teamed up for an "Open Boat Bunker Buster
trip . As we left the inlet we were immediatley into a large school of bunker
but found no fish feeding on them.We proceeded North to fish larger and larger
schools of bunker only to loose the only bass of the day when the hook pulled .
Back at the inlets South Bar we found large schools of the " Ever Cooperative "
Slammer blues which kept the guys arms working until they could handle no more !
The very next day { Friday} Regular Jay Simmons along with business associates
Rick Rogers and Mark  were out  for the same ,only to find the bass more
responsive. Jay was the first to hook up putting a nice 38lber in the box ! Mark
was next, not only catching his first striper but , catching a 48lber ![ this
guy is ruined for life now !]  Rich was the next guy hooked up only to loose the
striper when it made a quick run for the boat and parting the line on the sharp
edge of the trim tab [ouch ! ]. Jay was back at
it landing another nice 36lber before we headed back to the inlet to find another good pull on slammer
blues to 12lbs ! The guys ended their trip recovering from all the arm abuse [
quitters!  lol  ] jigging some fluke in the backbay !
Best Regards Capt. Steve Purul

Two good days. Even if one was mostly blue fish. Nice job.  t^
