Met up w/ Dad Saturday afternoon for a late start.
Hit up the back bay area where he boated a 19er and a nice 22er. Not to be outdone. Christine swung over a 22.5er which was thick. I managed a few at 17.9 ish that we sent back to finishing school.
Moved east down the Reach but only shorts to show for it- grand total 3 keeps 7 shorts. Dad had a great day.
On our way back, we rescued some jackshaft off Keansburg who flagged us down-- apparently he forgot his boat required fuel to run. Got him back to the dock just as the clouds opened up. To his credit, he did offer to cover my fuel, but obviously this guy couldn't even cover his own. I clued him in on the new fangled idea of a "towing package" but I think all this guy spent money on was pot.
Slightly earlier start for Sunday, just Christine and I. Applying our newfound knowledge, we stopped at the fuel dock before setting out. Back to the usual spots, but minimal drift for last of the outgoing. Incoming started up, moved around some and managed a 19er for the box. Then the clouds REALLY opened up, and we called it a day.
