062808 Striper Report . . .

Fished this afternoon with Capt John of the Rod Bender.  Left Bellmar and headed south.  Couldn't have had a more pleasant afternoon.  Found quite a few schools of bunker, but not too many bass on them until just around 7pm.  Eventually found a school of bunker just boiling on the surface and every once in awhile we could see the bass busting the school.

Our group consisted of myself, Kevin, Erik, Captain John, and his brother Jimmy.

Kevin, Erik and I each kept a bass just under 30 lbs, mine was 28.  Kevin released another over 30 lbs, and I believe that 2 more around 20 lbs were also kept.

Even though seas were a little rough and the wind was blowing at about 15-20 knots most of the day, it was a great afternoon on the water.
