Raritan Bay Fluke 6/29
« on: June 30, 2008, 08:38:51 AM »
Down to YSA about 445 yesterday morning. Tombo musta overslept so shoved off about 515 for a quick solo trip. First drift working well, throwing killies squid spearing bunker you name it. BAM BAM 2 shorts. Continued the drift BAM 17.9er I shoulda put on the fluke stretcher and into the box but didn't (cuz it WAS the first drift.)
Everything bit on squid.
Spun around to repeat the drift figuring on a good morning. Repeated to no avail. Snuck over to the other side of the channel nope. Moved over near the light zip. Saw one fluke come up the whole time.
Had a BBQ to prepare for so made my way back to Keyport Flats for a few drifts with the fleet- killies got hits but no real hookups.
Back in the slip around 930 with an empty box.
BBQ in the rain telling all sorts of fish tales. Now work.  :'(
