The Absecon inlet has turned on for a July school striper season! Since about the 1st of the month there have been great catches of 26" to 32" fish around the bridges and sod banks.
The bite is mostly on SPOT during the daylight high tides and poppers and eels are doing the trick at night.
Here are a couple of recent catches by my charters
Dave Morris with Charles and Jimmy 7/3/08
Vance Ellis and Crew 4/5/08
As long as we keep up with this south west wind and the water stays cold I expect the bite to continue. To see more pictures or details on the bait or my Absecon Bay Safaries check out the web site.
