Manasquan Inlet Report 7 /11/ 08
« on: July 11, 2008, 06:43:43 PM »
Well, took off work today and went fishing at the Inlet in hope of some nice size fluke. Fished from about 1045 until 445. Used all different color gulps and killies. Killies and pink swimming mullet seemed to be the key to the fluke. Caught a bunch of shorts, I got one 17 1/2 inches but had to throw it back unfortunatly. My cousin did land one 19 1/2 inches, which is his first keeper of the year. Very thick fish too. Caught a Crab about 5 1/2 inches in length but let it go, couldnt just boil up one crab. Beautiful day out there to be fishing, got burnt to a crisp again.

Fish On
Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

Nice keeper. We caught a 3lb. lobster and 2 18 inch fluke for a full day of fishing. Credit for the lobster goes to my wife.

Nice report and nice catch, at least you guys managed a keeper. Friend Scott fished there today and caught 10 fluke in 2 hours, but all shorts.

Nice day of fishing. The keepers should start popping up more often now.   t^
