Seawaren to RB Fluke report 7/22
« on: July 22, 2008, 04:59:17 PM »
6 "regulars" showed up to make the 7AM trip from Seawaren on the JP II.

Had the start of the incoming and fished the first few drifts in the triangle area of PAmboy....only shorts and made our way to the 12 to 14 buoy area of the Reach.

Ideal drifting conditions through the change of the tide when the bite began to drop off.

All in all a pretty good day...we had 12 keepers and had a "team" competition going...my team was in the lead and I had the pool.... Capt John starts engines to return home, mate hands me the money for the pool when the last line up yells and brings up a 7 lber to score a "walk off" win for the boat pool and the team pool...not the first time a whistle fish got me, but we all LOL at this one.

Had 3 nice keepers for a couple of dinners.

Back at the dock at 3:15.

We fished the same areas Sunday and had similar results, but less keepers.  I saw the JP and Cathy Sea way back early, then they moved out.  Next time out you'll be the one who reels in last.
