Real nice Nick.  I am waiting to see someone's reel stripped soon, those cownose rays have been here but either they are staying in warmer water or are just not interested in all the artificial's while there is so much bait around.

yeah, we were only guessing that it was a Ray.  Couldn't even turn the fish around using a light fluke rod, with 30 lbs power pro. Couldn't have been anything, but since all 3 of up got wacked, and it was late August, I think our guess was accurate.

There are days that I have tears in my eyes's !

Vic ran Team Wellcraft 35 ft boat that day and Al Ristori fished with us.

Man did it pour that day.

Al's Exact words were.

Vic why did you wake me up to fish in these conditions.

Vic,Al,& myself also rented a skiff from Fisherman's den in Belmar.That day we were 1 fish shy of our 3 man Flounder limit.Al had to get home & take his wife shopping for a car that day and we wouldn't leave until we caught that 30th keeper flounder.The 30th keeper was not caught and we got Al in trouble with his wife.

I still keep one of the comments he left me on my Myspace account, for memories. I keep in touch with his sister every few weeks to see how his son is.  Its tough, in the heart of the fishing season.. Vis isn't here.
