Why so many short fluke

Why is it there are so many shorts this year..  I'm not talking about the ones that would have made the cooler last year.. 5hrug

I've been wondering the same thing myself. Seems alot of 12-15 inch fluke out there. Does anyone know the approximate growth rate of the fluke?  5hrug

Are all these fluke around the same age? Alor of hochie koochie going on a year or so ago? I'm not as familar with the fluke stats...

I always use BIG baits. Kinda keeps the bait in the water for the big ones.

Honestly, I never really  have a problem finding keepers. I been flukng raritain bay with my dad for 10 years now and we kind of have our techniques and spots figured out.

certain areas are just known for very short fluke and a ton of them, like the coast guard station off of Sandy Hook.  The bigger fish are in deeper waters and on the wrecks.

Except for in a few weeks when the peanuts start flushing out of the skinny water. Keeper fluke in 8' of water >:D
