Irish Ayes fluking 8-3
« on: August 03, 2008, 09:14:29 PM »
Had George, Lou and Andy on board today. Went north out of Shark River. Started at Long Branch and worked our way back.

Had one keeper off of Long Branch, 60 feet of water.

Moved south to a lump three miles out from the Red Church. Good for three more keepers.

Several other moves resulted in five more keepers, largest being 22 inches.

Had many short fluke today. Bait of choice was shark belly with spearing or smelt, didn't matter what fish went with the belly. Both produced.

Water temp seems to be hovering around 72 lately. Hopefully it will not drop again and the fluke bite stays on .

Had nine keeper fluke and two keeper seabass to round out the day.

Be back at it again tomorrow and Tuesday.

Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.
